Trifluoperazine dihydrochloride has been an extensively studied drug molecule that has been used as a calmodulin inhibitor.Trifluoperazine dihydrochloride acts as a reversible inhibitor of influenza virus morphogenesis, but not budding, by disturbing cellular CaM and/or CaM-dependent functions.
