Undecylenic acid is an organic unsaturated fatty acid pyrolysis product of ricinoleic acid from castor oil. It is used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and perfumery, including antidandruff shampoos, antimicrobial powders and as a musk in perfumes and aromas.
